  1. Hi, Bojana!

The third week promises to be even more exciting than the first two. A lot of work to do, but where there's a will there's a way :)

Thank you for sharing the link to the article, it is very interesting, indeed. Maybe the lesson of English should not focus only on cognitive objectives, but also on an affective objective as well. Tina and Sandra mentioned that it is more difficult to formulate an affective objective than a cognitive one (http://cmwebticha.blogspot.com/2012/04/2-i-have-spent-time-on-readings-for.html#comment-form), but maybe it is mainly this objective that helps "contribute to a better society" and "our children become more human".

    What do you think?

    Nice "talking" to you

  2. Hi Bojana!!
First of all, thank you for sharing this article and the link with us! (I've already subscribed to http://www.guardian.co.uk/teacher-network! I can't agree with you and Vicky more as to the fact that we need to teach our Ss the humanistic values first! BUT...are all teachers humanistic enough to do this job? Do you think that an intensive "course" on humanistic values will make all of us more humane? I believe that the teaching "talent" as well as the "humanistic talent" exists inside you... No one can teach you that. So we DO have to teach our students these values. Do we know them? Do all teachers care for the person next to them? Or are we too absosbed in materialistic things?
By the way, the holocaust survivor's words really shocked me...
