Week 3 Reflections

Hello, everyone!

Week has been almost done and we again have learned and done a lot of work.

There has been a lot of reading this week. I read the articles concerning CALL for listening, speaking and pronunciation skills and lesson plans. I especially liked the article 'Developing listening skills with Authentic Materials' by Lindsay Miller. I agree with her saying that listening has been relegated to a secondary position in the English language teaching classroom. She explained clearly and presented some useful activities using authentic materials to help learners develop listening skills by using authentic materials. Developing listening skills with Authentic Materials

I visited a lot of websites and discussed about them with my classmates on Nicenet. I liked BBC site with useful activities to practice pronunciation ( BBC Pronunciation). I visited and liked the site one of classmates suggested NPR also for listening skills.

There are so many activities on the web to help us make our teaching better. I explored the suggested sites and I'm going to use them in my classroom.

I visited so many sites and they need a place for storing. There is solution to that 'problem' too! This week I have completed task and created my own page for storing favorite sites. I have created it using  Delicious and I posted my URL on the class wiki. I bookmarked the sites I explored during this week.

I also read and discussed on Nicenet one of a past simple project report. I understood what my final project would be like.

This third week was fulfilled with so many reading and I have learned new things concerning teaching by using technology. I wish I had had English classes that included technology and more creative activities when I had been in Primary School.

That's all from me for this week!

Week 2 Reflections

Hello, everyone!

Week2 is almost finished and we've done a lot of great work!

It's so amazing and interesting reading your posts on Nicenet. There are so many different classes and working conditions. Each teacher's class has its own characteristic. But, we all prefer using technology in our classrooms.

I had finished ABCD learning objective and post it on Nicenet. I like other teacher's objectives too.
Also, I have finished reading additional resources materials and learned a lot of new things. I read about Bloom's taxonomy before but it's great to revise it again!

I tried Twurdy ( http://www.twurdy.com/) and I found it very interesting. It saves time we spend on reading to find out if it is at the level of our students when comprehension is concerned.

I'll be back with more information!

I will use this weekend to revise what I have done this week. Just as I as said before, we are form different countries so I will read more about your countries and introduction post on Nicenet.

Week 1 Reflections

Hello, everyone!

This is our first week and I hope everyone in the class is in a good mood.

When I was informed I would be a participant of UO AEI Webskills course I was so happy. This is a great opportunity to learn more and improve teaching skills.

This is the first time I have created blog and I hope I will be good at blogging :-)

It's so amazing looking at our Webskills Google Map showing participants from so many different places in the world. I like traveling and I hope I will have chance to visit some of your countries.

I am always willing to learn something new and I expect to learn a lot from my teachers and colleagues.

I am looking forward to getting to know all my classmates!
